Technology for Teaching and Learning 2: Instrumentation and Technology in Mathematics.
TTL 2 is a 3-unit course which will focus on the application, design, production, utilization, and evaluation of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) materials for teaching and learning in Mathematics Education Programs. The major requirement for this course is an ICT integrated and Project-based Learning Plan aligned to the K to 12 curriculum. All the learning activities and course requirements will revolve around the student-teacher developed Learning Plan.

After the completion of the chapter, students should be able to: explain the purpose, components, and importance of the ILAW Lesson Plan in effective lesson preparation; prepare an organized and learner-centered ILAW Lesson Plan based on the intended learning outcomes; and demonstrate proper preparation for demo teaching, including lesson mastery, instructional materials, teaching strategies, classroom management, and time management.

After the completion of the chapter, students should be able to: analyze Mathematics learning plans in the context of the 21st century communication skills; and enhance the Mathematics learning plan to develop 21st century skills through ICT integration.

After the completion of the chapter, students should be able to: compare and contrast problem-based and project-based learning approaches; analyze sample PBL plans and local DepEd sample plans; and examine articles on innovations in learning technologies and resources for language teaching.

After the completion of the chapter, students should be able to: explain the role and importance of Information Technology as a tool in the teaching-learning process; identify appropriate technologies that support student-centered learning; and demonstrate the effective and responsible use of technology in designing and facilitating meaningful learning experiences.

After the completion of the chapter, students should be able to: analyze sample learning plans; and develop problem-based/project-based learning plan integrating ICT from the identified competencies.

After the completion of the chapter, students should be able to: identify the uses of open-ended tools (productivity tools) in the teaching-learning of Mathematics; integrate these tools in their PBL learning plans; and create instructional materials using open-ended tools.
